The Snark Tank hackathon took place as part of the Devconnect conference in Istanbul in mid-November. Snark Tank is the first zk-themed competition which main sponsors were Aleo and Bitmain. Previously, these two projects announced their cooperation — Bitmain will release a special device for mining Aleo blocks for the long-awaited mainnet.

The applications were accepted in the following categories:

  • Gaming;
  • Identity/Authentication;
  • ZFi;
  • zkML;
  • Voting/Governance;
  • Scale Up

One of the main prizes and 17.5 thousand dollars was won by the @arcane_finance team, which is developing a confidential decentralized exchange combining AMM and RFQ.

Arcane Finance exchange is already working on the Aleo testnet at the moment, and you can test it right now! The test token faucet is already built into platform’s interface for the convenience of users . In order to use Arcane Finance you need only Leo Wallet.

The private swap function is also ready for testing now.

So you can already test both types of DEX of this wonderful platform now-> https://app.arcane.finance/.

@zkPass (not to be confused with zPass, a native project of the Aleo ecosystem!) also received a high mark and a cash prize of $17.5k.

zkPass is a confidential protocol for verifying private data using Multi-Party Computation (MPC), Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKP) and three-party Transport Layer Security (3P-TLS).

zkPass provides TransGate, which allows users to selectively and privately check their data on any HTTPS website in the web3 world without having to disclose or upload any sensitive personal data to third parties.

zkPass can cover various types of data, such as legal documents, financial records, medical information, social interactions, education, qualification certificates and many more.

The largest amount of prize money was taken by the participants of the @lets_puzzle project — 32.5 thousand dollars. Puzzle create a unique privacy wallet for the Aleo ecosystem.

With Puzzle App, users can:

  • Manage private and public assets;
  • Make private transactions;
  • Be public/private at own discretion

The assets and account balances can be private or public on the Aleo network.

The developers promise that in the future it will be possible to play multiplayer online games on the platform and earn rewards! The platform’s functionality will also include multisig.

You can find all the features of Puzzle on the website https://puzzle.online/

The winner of two awards at once (from Aleo itself and the community) was the @AvailWallet project. Avail is a private, non-custodial wallet with smart contracts support feature.

Some of the interesting features of Avail include:

  • Shard Recovery — easy and convenient wallet recovery;
  • Smart Contract EUX — the ability to generate contracts automatically, without code.
  • Debit Card — pay with a plastic card anywhere in the world!
  • ZK Speed Up — faster transactions through the Prover Delegation Network.

You can familiarize with all the capabilities of Avail on the official website of the project -> https://avail.global/.

As we see in the example of Snark Tank, the Aleo ecosystem is developing successfully even though the project is still at the testnet stage.

Aleo, we are looking forward to even more applications!)
